Marina Spritz
A big thank you to Nic Shanker, who showed two cool summer drinks on ZDF's "Volle Kanne" on 2 August 2022. For the Marina Spritz, he chose my liqueur - FRENZEL Grapefruit - as well as a limoncello and other ingredients. You can watch the video in the ZDF media centre.

Method
- Prepare glassPrepare a bulbous wine glass or balloon glass and fill generously with ice cubes. The ice should reach the rim.
- Squeeze fresh juicesFreshly squeeze an orange and a lime. Measure out 3 cl orange juice and 2.5 cl lime juice.
- Add base ingredientsPour the freshly squeezed orange juice (3 cl) and lime juice (2.5 cl) into the prepared glass.
- Pouring liqueursAdd 5 cl FRENZEL Grapefruit and 2 cl Limoncello.
- Top up with Prosecco and sodaCarefully pour 6 cl of well-chilled Prosecco into the glass, followed by 3 cl of iced soda. Make sure that the carbonation is retained.
- Mix carefullyUsing a bar spoon, carefully stir once from bottom to top to mix all the ingredients without reducing the carbonation too much.
- Prepare the lemon zestUsing a zester or peeler, cut a long, thin zest from an untreated lemon. Gently twist the zest between your fingers over the glass to release the essential oils.
- Garnish and serveGarnish the cocktail with the lemon zest and an optional sprig of gypsophila. Serve immediately and enjoy the Mediterranean flavour!
Notes
🎬 ZDF VOLLE KANNE: This recipe was presented by Nic Shanker on the ZDF programme „Volle Kanne“ on 2 August 2022. The video is available in the ZDF media library.
🍋 LIMONCELLO TIP: Authentic Italian limoncello from the Amalfi Coast or Capri gives the cocktail the perfect Mediterranean flair. Chill the limoncello well beforehand.
🧊 ICE CUBE WEIGHT: Use large, high-quality ice cubes that melt more slowly. The glass should be filled to the brim with ice to keep the drink cool for a long time.
🍹 SERVING SUGGESTION: Best served as an aperitif before a Mediterranean meal or with light antipasti such as bruschetta, olives or grilled vegetables.
